Rizwan Shinwari, a Ph.D. student from NUST, who got HEC scholarship for Massachusettes University last year got severely injured in Boston. Rizwan, belonging to the village of Lundi Kotal in Khyber agency, has worked with two American think Tanks at a very young age- He worked for Washington based Institute for Peace and Tennessee based Howard Baker Institue. It is a pride for Pakistan that he has also worked as a reviewer for Howard Baker Institute. He received his early education from LundiKotal, on Pak Afghan Border when the region was passing through a very turbulent time and struggled hard to reach NUST. On the second month of his stay in Boston, he got severely injured in a road accident inside the campus. He passed through orthopedic surgery afterward and now going through a Urinary Tract surgery tomorrow. His medical insurance was consumed in the first operation. Recently he got his Massachusetts medical card but the hospital is not sure whether his surgery expenses may be paid or not through the card. moreover, he also needs assistance for other daily expenses as hospital advised him to stay in the US till June 2019. HEC has already stopped his monthly allowance in December 2018. Alone in Boston, he needs prayers and helps from Pakistani and Muslim community. He needs information on charity networks and organizations in the US who can assist him financially in his turbulent times. The Pakistani community in the US, especially in Boston, is requested to contact him and provide support and information.
