Part 8: My Response to Asjad Bukhari’s Blog on Hoodbhoy Issue

A serious Misconception or Asjad Bukhari’s Hallucinations?

My Response to Asjad Bukhari’s Blog on my article published in Express Blogs Part 8

A serious Misconception or Hallucination

In the first version of the blog, he mentioned three authors claiming that I advised him to read them. I appreciate that on my correction he later removed those names admitting his mistake.
While I read and have read (not thoroughly as social sciences have never been my academic subject until recently) the works of many eastern and western scholars, thinkers and philosophers belonging to all faiths and school of thoughts which include Sir Syed Ahmed Khan to Javed Ahmed Ghamdi and from Karl Marx to Edward Said. I can’t list a hundred other names. And while I always try to learn from a wide variety of writers, I never followed a single scholar.
Assuming that I am a follower of a handful of scholars who advocated political Islam is simply judging me for what I am not.
Thinking that I suggested those authors can be simply called hallucinations.
Moreover, writing these names on the blog over this supposition is academic dishonesty at the least but I am grateful and appreciate his dignity that he removed realizing his mistake.
