Kamil Khan quits Nestle, joins PCB as Head of communications

"There is a perception that the captain is the only one responsible for everything. Cricket is a team game and every player has to contribute, " says Misbah ul Haq, the current captain of Pakistani Test Cricket team talking to International Business Times. And few of us know that there is an elite squad of more than hundred executives that support this team of players behind the scene which obviously includes media and digital marketing professionals.


Kamil Khan, the head of digital communications and social media, Nestle Corporation recently joined Pakistan Cricket Board at similar position. He is known for proactive attitudes and analytic understanding of marketing. As a long-standing and energetic marketing professional, he has witnessed the growth of digital marketing in Pakistan. 
Kamil Khan was associated with Nestle since August 2012. According to his Linkedin profile, Khan, a graduate of National College of Business Administration and Economics, joined the Pakistani TV Channel Business Plus (owned by slain Punjab Governer Salman Taseer and famous for its hourly updates of Karachi Stock Exchange) as a senior producer in 2004.

He also worked as a freelancer for some time before joining Punjab Group in 2006 as a Research Analyst. He proved his excellent negotiation and team building skills at Wateen Telecom as Brand manager from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, he joined Online advertisers and social media management company Bramerz and worked to promote the top brands, Tetrapack, Rose Patel, ICI Dulux, Levi's, Lipton and Ponds.
